Answers to the questions you’re currently overthinking.
1. How do I book a session?
Booking is simple! Just visit our “Get a Quote” Page, Fill out the form, then send us a WhatsApp message, or email us. We’ll discuss your needs, finalize details, and secure your booking with a 50% deposit.
7. Do you travel for shoots?
While we are based in Gauteng, we are happy to travel to wherever the story is. Just keep in mind that travel and accommodation fees will apply for locations further than 50km from our home base. If you’re planning something in the Maldives, we might even give you a discount (just kidding... mostly).
2. Is a deposit required to book?
Yes! A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all bookings to secure your date. Your booking is only confirmed once the deposit is received. The remaining balance can be paid upon receiving photos.
8. Do you offer videography services?
Yes, We do offer videography as well! However, at this stage, we can only provide photography or videography separately, not both simultaneously. But don’t worry—once we expand, we’ll definitely offer both services together!
3. What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens, we understand.
Cancellations: Your deposit is non-refundable, but if the cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ll assess it on a case-by-case basis.
Rescheduling: If you need to change your date due to bad weather (for outdoor shoots) or personal reasons, we’ll do our best to accommodate a new date without extra fees (subject to availability).
9. Can you Photoshop my ex out of a group photo?
Technically, yes. Should we though? That’s up to you. 😆 (Additional retouching fees may apply.)
4. How long does it take to receive my photos?
Editing takes time to ensure the highest quality! Here’s what to expect:
📸 Portrait/Quick Promo Video: 7-10 business days
📸 Events: 2-3 weeks
📸 Weddings: 1-2 Months(Don’t worry, we will send sneak peak photos the day after your wedding)
📸 Physical Goods (Albums, Prints, Canvases): Typically 1 Month, This does depend on suppliers
If you need a rush order, let us know, we do offer priority editing from R1 750
10. Do you offer retouching services?
Yes! All packages include basic editing (lighting, color correction, etc.). Advanced retouching (skin smoothing, object removal, etc.) is available for an additional fee.
5. Do you provide raw (unedited) photos?
We don't serve raw chicken, and we don't serve raw files. Part of the SSG magic is the professional editing and color grading we do behind the scenes. You’re paying for the masterpiece, not the ingredients.
11. What should I wear for my shoot?
Wear something that makes you feel confident & comfortable!
✔️ For Portraits: Solid colors work best (avoid heavy patterns).
✔️ For Corporate Headshots: Stick to professional, neutral tones.
✔️ For Outdoor Shoots: Earthy or pastel tones look great in natural light!

6. What if I lose my photos? Do you offer backups?
We are essentially digital hoarders, so yes, we keep your memories tucked away on our secure servers for life. However, digging into the archives to perform a "Digital Rescue" takes time away from us being behind the lens. If you lose your files and need a reissue, the following fees apply:
📂 Weddings: R5,000.00
📂 All Other Shoots: R3,000.00
Pro-Tip: Save your photos to your laptop, a cloud drive, and maybe your mom’s computer. We do our absolute best to keep your files safe, but we aren’t liable for unforeseen digital apocalypses (see our T&Cs for the fine print).
12. Can I print my photos anywhere, or do you offer prints?
We offer high-quality prints, albums, and canvases for the best results. Kindly Enquire and we can take it forward.
